Bagrati Cathedral was built in the early 11th century under the reign of King Bagrat III. This masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture symbolizes the country's unity and strength. The cathedral has undergone multiple restorations, especially after being heavily damaged in the 17th century by invaders. Its restoration was part of Georgia’s effort to preserve its cultural heritage, making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
